Collection of 2198 35 mm. color slides of 590 species of North American Continent birds photographed by Tulsan Robert Jones Farris between 1974 and his death in July 1983. Approximately one-half of the slides have date and locality given. This collection comprises the master set formed in 1987-1988 by volunteer members of the Tulsa Audubon Society from the 16,000 slides made by Farris. Approximately 15% of these slides had been damaged in the 1984 Tulsa flood and were discarded. A second set, duplicates of 1630 slides representing 491 species, was given to the Oxley Nature Center in Tulsa to be used for reproduction purposes only. The remainder of the slides were retained by the Tulsa Audubon Society for use in their programs. All slides were shot with a Nikon Nikkormat Camera with a Zoom Nikor Automatic 200 mm.; a 300 mm. Soligar; or a Reflex Nikor 500 mm. lens.
